Strange Rollers - Hypnotizin U EP Held II Ransom 026

 First up for 2012 for H2R is lable heavyweight The Strange Rollers !!
No introductions needed , The title track of the EP , Got Me Hypnotized , is a blend of oldskool stabs , jungle breaks and floaty vocals all sewn together with lashings of heavy bass !! perfectly encapsulating the sounds of Jungle Breakbeat and sets the tone for this EP .
Next up is Lovin U on the double AA side this one more on a House vibe , big sweeping pads , soulfull vocals , and again the Strange Rollers trademark old skool stabs an bass!!
Movin to the B side kickin off with Nuff Soul and Crew , this one jumpin in the time machine an takin us back to that bukemesq sound of the eraly 90's , atmospheric Jungle ahoy !! Laced with ragga samples and vibes and a FAT bass this one is going to get them hips a skankin !!
Last but not least bringing up the rear we have Look Beyond the Face , this one takes the road to dubstep station , half timed beats , crunkin bass , soulfull vocals before droppin back into some serious amen action !!

For our 2nd offering of 2012 , Held II Ransom are proud to unveil label Kingpin Eddie Voyagers mighty 'Vibes EP'

Not just content with providing you all with his Big Anthemic Rave Breakbeat masterpieces, this time over the 4 track EP we really get to explore his skills Fusing genres such as Dubstep, Rave, Breakbeat and Jungle , into his own inimitable sound !!

kicking off the EP with the title track 'Vibes Up', hold tight because ur about to jump on to a waltzer of a rave choon!! High energy Breakbeats kick it off before the vocals get the party started, laced with big basslines and Eddies signature Leads , this one really hits the spot!!

Second up we introduce 'Are U Ready' and when the bassline drops u better be!!! The massive bassline drives this track into oblivion, coupled with the Fast paced lead riffs this really keeps the party vibe jumping, whilst the rap vocal snippets deliver the subliminal messages!! Big Tune !!

The Third track on the EP Bounce, kicks off with an absolute skanking beat b4 the track explodes with the amen drop. Big driving bass with that wobble edge, and u got it!, more of Eddie's signiature synth action, adding so many different layers, its like reading a book whilst going nutty on the dance floor. To quote Baby B Kane 'This track is for all the grown ups who remember a certain point in time'!!!

Last and by no means least we have 'What', Eddie breaks out the big Dubstep artillery, killer kicks and stabs over a militant dubstep bassline, creating a hard hitting Ravestep workout, keeping Eddies usual ability to grab the dance floors attention, adding  massive female vocals to put the icing on the cake!!Badman!

 Held II Ransom 028 brings both lable bosses Strange Rollers and Eddie Voyager to the table for this slab of Future Jungle dub business !!
The 140 sound has been gettin a hammering recently and this 4 track ep encapsulates this sound !!
First up on the A side  we have the mighty Strange Rollers, with the abtly named Jungle Serenade , heavy jungle amens punctuated with floaty dub guitars and horns leading into a classic vocal "im still in love with u girl" serenading us into submission !!
Keepin that Dub vibe alive the man like Eddie Voyager brings us Dub Monkee , a rollin oldskool / nuskool 140 workout , heavy dubstepesq basses interspresed with classic dub rythyms an licks , all roll together to bring u a slab of upfront 140 business !
First up on the B side Strange Rollers picks up the baton again with this hardcore infused 140 affair , just when u thought it was safe to go back in the jungle !! Big stabs , heavy bass and Tarzan !!!! what more could u ask for !! swinging into a store near u soon !!
Bringing up the rear on the B side , Eddie Voyager drops us his 2nd new dubstep flavour Dub Wub Chub, opening with haunting piano's and strings building to the drop with heavy firing beats and wub chub bass !!This track is gonna replay in your head a thousand times over, such a tranquil piano line laces the fabric of the tune , you Cant catagorise this ,Jungle, Breaks, Dub or Chill it has everything neatly packaged into one hell of a choon..........simply enjoy!!

Looking back to late 2008 Held II Ransom have decided to give away some of thier early back catalouge .
These tunes takin the lable back to the heady days of hardcore breaks just when most lables changed over from vinyl to digital , rather than let these tunes sit on H2R`s hq hardrive , we decided to give away 1 old release with each new release over the coming months !! The first being Held II Ransom 001 , Without A Trace EP !!
